About
Lost Meridian is the project of Angus Long, a Zurich-based producer with deep roots in what might be the most innovative era for electronic music — the 80s and 90s.
My influences are wide: the early synth pioneers Vangelis and Kraftwerk, the euphoric balearic house of Chicane and Robert Miles, and the modern melodic breaks of artists like Bicep.
The project took shape during the Covid pandemic, when playing in a band wasn't possible. Focusing on solo production gave me a much deeper understanding of the production, mixing and mastering process.

A digital-first studio in Zurich, built around software recreations of analogue and vintage synthesizers. My own music is electronic, but I'm comfortable producing other genres — I have all the tools necessary for professional production of vocals, guitars and drums.
Full production from concept to master. Or additions such as orchestration or synths to fill out a band recording.
Stem-based mixing. I work digitally but run things through analog outboard for that extra few percent of analog goodness. The goal is a mix that sounds balanced and alive.
Mastering for streaming, vinyl or live playback. I use modern metering alongside tape saturation, stereo widening and vintage compression emulations. Loud enough, but not at the expense of dynamics.
